ARVEAN SOLVENT PRO is a professional solvent-based waterproofing rubber coating developed to create a durable, flexible and seamless protective barrier over correctly prepared surfaces.
Its solvent-based formulation makes it particularly suitable for demanding waterproofing applications where conventional water-based coatings may not be the appropriate solution.
Once applied correctly as a complete coating system, SOLVENT PRO forms a continuous waterproof protective layer without the numerous joints and seams associated with conventional sheet-based waterproofing systems.

ARVEAN SOLVENT PRO forms a protective waterproof layer across a wide range of correctly prepared surfaces. Explore the applications below.
For correctly prepared concrete surfaces requiring durable waterproof protection.
Ideal for waterproofing correctly prepared box gutters and other water-management areas.
Suitable for correctly prepared metal roof structures, overlaps and problem areas.
Suitable for compatible, correctly prepared steel and metal substrates.
Can be applied to suitable, correctly prepared timber surfaces where the system is appropriate.
Suitable for certain dam and pond waterproofing applications. Application suitability must be confirmed before use.
Create seamless protection around compatible roof details and difficult waterproofing areas.
Can be used on correctly prepared compatible stainless-steel surfaces.
ONE PRODUCT. MULTIPLE SURFACES. SERIOUS WATERPROOFING.
Many conventional water-based waterproofing coatings are designed primarily for pitched surfaces and areas where water can drain away.
ARVEAN SOLVENT PRO provides an alternative solvent-based waterproofing solution for suitable areas where water may gather or pond.
SUITABLE WHERE WATER MAY GATHER OR POND, SUCH AS:
• Flat concrete slabs
• Box gutters
• Low points on roof structures
• Selected flat-roof applications
• Water-retaining applications where technically suitable
IMPORTANT: Correct substrate preparation, detailing and application remain essential. Structural drainage problems should be corrected wherever practical rather than relying solely on a coating.
Professional performance, engineered for demanding exterior waterproofing.
Professional solvent-based waterproofing coating for demanding applications.
Designed for exterior applications exposed to South African sunlight and weather.
Suitable for correctly specified applications where water may gather.
Creates a continuous protective coating across the treated surface.
Designed to bond to a variety of correctly prepared compatible substrates.
Forms a rubber-like protective coating capable of accommodating normal substrate movement within system limitations.
Suitable for numerous concrete, metal and timber applications when correctly prepared.
Suitable for residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial waterproofing projects.
Choosing the right system starts with understanding the difference.

A complete two-coat waterproofing system, applied in clear steps.
STEP 1 — INSPECT THE SUBSTRATE
Identify cracks, loose coatings, rust, contamination, failed joints, holes, defective flashings and other areas requiring repair.
Do not simply coat over an existing structural or substrate failure.
STEP 2 — PREPARE THE SURFACE
The surface must be dry, sound and properly prepared. Remove dust, dirt, loose material, oil, grease, rust, flaking paint, poorly bonded coatings and other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion. Repair defects before waterproofing.
STEP 3 — DETAIL PROBLEM AREAS
Pay particular attention to cracks, roof-sheet overlaps, screws and fasteners, joints, corners, upstands, parapets, flashings, gutters and penetrations. Where required by the system specification, use compatible reinforcement such as fibreglass sheeting.
STEP 4 — FIRST COAT
ARVEAN SOLVENT PRO is supplied ready for use. Apply an even first coat using a suitable paintbrush or roller. Avoid excessively thick, uneven application and ensure complete coverage of the prepared substrate.
STEP 5 — ALLOW TO DRY COMPLETELY
Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying the next coat. Drying time will depend on temperature, humidity, airflow, substrate and application thickness. Do not trap solvent beneath subsequent coats.
STEP 6 — SECOND COAT
Apply the second complete coat evenly across the waterproofing area. Ensure complete and continuous coverage.
STEP 7 — INSPECT
Once the coating has cured sufficiently, inspect the entire waterproofing system for missed areas, pinholes, insufficient coverage or other defects and correct where required.
20 LITRES
Approximately 35–40 m² based on a two-coat application on a suitable flat surface.
WITH FIBREGLASS REINFORCEMENT:
Allow approximately 1 litre per 1 m² as a general guideline where fibreglass sheeting is incorporated.
Coverage figures are approximate only.
Actual consumption depends on: surface porosity, surface profile, application method, film thickness, weather conditions, detailing requirements, reinforcement and substrate condition.
COVERAGE ESTIMATOR:
Enter your surface area (m²) and allow roughly 0.55–0.60 L per m² for a two-coat system on a suitable flat surface. This provides an estimate only — confirm your exact requirement with ARVEAN before ordering.
AVAILABLE IN 5 L AND 20 L UNITS
Compatible fibreglass reinforcement may be incorporated into selected ARVEAN SOLVENT PRO waterproofing systems for difficult areas and applications requiring additional reinforcement.

SOLVENT-BASED PRODUCT — USE WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. Keep away from ignition sources and follow all applicable product label and Safety Data Sheet requirements.
AFTER APPLICATION
Clean compatible brushes and rollers with the recommended thinner before the product cures. Do not dispose of solvent-based coating or cleaning solvent into drains, soil or waterways. Follow local regulations for disposal of solvent-containing materials.
Product performance depends on correct substrate assessment, preparation, detailing, product consumption, application and curing. Where a project-specific ARVEAN guarantee or warranty is available, the applicable terms and conditions must be confirmed before installation. Contact ARVEAN for information regarding approved systems and warranty requirements.
For straightforward applications, experienced DIY customers may be able to apply ARVEAN SOLVENT PRO by following the applicable preparation and application instructions. For larger, complex, commercial or high-risk waterproofing projects, professional assessment and application are recommended.
Select your situation to find the right next step toward a durable waterproofing solution.
Q: What is solvent-based liquid rubber?
A: It is a solvent-based protective coating that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing layer over compatible, correctly prepared substrates.
Q: Can ARVEAN SOLVENT PRO handle standing water?
